The discovery phase is the work.
Products fail on bad planning, not bad code. We charge for the planning because it is where the outcome is decided.
A paid engagement.
Non-refundable. Earned.
Discovery engagements range from $5,000 to $15,000 depending on the complexity of the product and the scope of the build. The fee is paid before the first working session and is credited toward the total build cost if you choose to ship with us.
It is earned regardless of whether you proceed. The thinking, architecture, schemas, and roadmap are yours.
- — Product specification & user flows
- — Information architecture & data model
- — Stack & infrastructure plan
- — Phased build timeline
- — Preliminary build budget
- — AI-integration strategy where applicable
Native code.
AI-fluent. Owned.
Engineering, design, and AI integration are performed in-house by the operator and a small bench of trusted collaborators. Specialty work — security review, complex iOS, advanced ML — is brought in from vetted partners when the build requires it.
There is one point of accountability. You work with the operator. The operator owns the code. The code respects the user.
- — Next.js, React, Astro on the front
- — FastAPI, Postgres, Redis on the back
- — Anthropic Claude for AI primitives
- — Cloudflare, Vultr, or your cloud
- — Stripe, DocuSeal, Resend for plumbing
- — iOS native via Swift + RoomPlan when needed
Six to twelve weeks.
Two engagements at a time.
Most engagements ship to production in six to twelve weeks. We limit ourselves to two active builds at a time because care does not scale — and because the client who hired us for attention deserves to receive it.
After launch: a clean handoff if you want to own it forward, or a continuing retainer if you want us to keep evolving it alongside you.
